Due to client demand, this Engineering Consultancy has an opportunity for a Microstation / CAD Pipeline Designer/Drafter to work on Oil & Gas Pipeline Design schemes, both onshore and offshore. Their expertise extends globally and they have experience working on many schemes across the world for lead Designers and Main Contractors. A company committed to personal development and training, offering a unique opportunity to set-up and develop their Pipeline drawing capability. Responsibilities • Interpret Pipeline Engineering calculations and/or sketches • Use Bentley Microstation to generate the following Design Drawings: - Plant and Building layouts and details - Detailing of Mechanical/Structural Equipment component - PI&Ds (Piping & instrumentation diagrams), Plot Plans and Piping Isometrics • Check Pipeline design drawings on Bentley Microstation • Provide project support to Lead Pipeline Design Engineer • Liaise with Consulting Engineers and Main Contractors • Manage the production of design information and resolve any issues • Ensure all Microstation drawing work is to Mechanical Engineering codes • Set-up and maintain a QA system Responsibilities • HNC/HND Civil / Mechanical Engineering or related • Good experience using Microstation or AutoCAD • A Structural / Mechanical Engineering design/drafting background • Knowledge of the latest Mechanical Engineering codes • The ability to work to deadline and manage time effectively • Excellent communication skills Desirable • Design experience of Oil & Gas Pipelines and Plants • 3D Modelling in Microstation / AutoCAD • Preferable to have Mechanical Structures experience Please note we can only accept CVs in MS Word (.doc) format Last updated 11 March, 2010 |
