With a healthy order book for 2010 and more work on the horizon, a leading Ground Engineering company have an opportunity for a Contracts Manager to join their Foundations division. Reporting to a General Manager, the successful candidate will develop new and manage existing Piling Foundations Contracts whilst focusing on safety, customer service, quality and productivity in line with agreed performance targets. This company has worked on many of the major Infrastructure projects undertaken in the UK and provides a wide range of Ground Improvement and Foundations services. Main Responsibilities • Deliver Piling Foundations Contracts on time and to budget • Monitor Contract resources and allocate appropriately to reduce costs • Attend Client meetings at senior level • Monitor the quality and sequence of Contractor work • Liaise with Architect, Structural Engineer and Contractors • Provide Construction Site Engineering direction • Manage Contracts effectively through employee recruitment, development and retention • Implement and manage a Contract’s Quality, Environment and H&S systems • Maximise profit and performance for new and existing Piling Foundations Contracts • Meet agreed Contract performance targets and exceed Client expectations Requirements Minimum • A Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering or similar • Experienced in Civil, Structural or Geotechnical Engineering • Previous experience as a Contracts Manager or Contracts Engineer • Use of Excel, Word and AutoCAD • Excellent communication and presentation skills • Full UK driving licence Desirable • Working towards chartership of a related professional body • Sound knowledge of Piling Foundations Last updated 17 June, 2010 |
