Based in The Midlands, this multi-disciplined company now have an opportunity for a competent Senior CAD Technician to take a lead role and strengthen their drawing function. Capable of handling a commission from inception to final Construction and providing a comprehensive range of Structural Engineering Services, this company specialise in the commercial, educational, healthcare, industrial, leisure, residential and retail sectors for both public and private clients. Responsibilities • Produce a range of 2D Structural drawings, RC details and schedules • Create 3D AutoCAD and Revit Models • Assist Project Engineers and Structural Engineers as required • Effectively manage own time across multiple Structural Engineering projects • Carry out site inspections and prepare reports • Supervise and direct the work of Structural AutoCAD Technicians • Provide training to Junior AutoCAD Technicians • Manage the production of design information and resolve any issues • Liaise with Architects, Design Engineers and Construction Contractors • Ensure all drawing work is to the latest codes and company standards Requirements Essential • EXPERIENCED 3D AUTOCAD TECHNICIAN • Good experience of AutoCAD within a Structural Engineering environment • Capable of interpreting calculations of Structural Engineering • Construction Site Experience and demonstrable Structural drawing skills • Experience with Clients, Architects, Design Engineers and Construction Contractors • Supervision experience of AutoCAD Technicians • The ability to work to deadline and manage time effectively • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral Desirable • EXPERIENCED AUTODESK REVIT TECHNICIAN (Please note, CAD Technicians with Autodesk Revit will be considered first) • Highways, Roads and Drainage drawing experience Last updated 17 June, 2010 |
