An unrivalled reputation for providing quality-driven services, this Rail Infrastructure specialist wants to appoint Bridge Inspection Engineers to cope with an ever increasing demand for their expertise. Fast becoming an industry leader within Rail Infrastructure, they provide a full range of services from Structural Inspections through to Design works, one-off site surveys to detailed multi-disciplinary site investigations for UK and International clients. Committed to employee development, they offer in-house training and actively encourage attainment of relevant qualifications. Responsibilities • Plan Rail Bridge Inspection and Maintenance programmes • Undertake Rail Bridge Inspections and produce written reports to client timescales • Ensure Bridge Repairs and Strengthening works comply with specifications • When required, undertake Rail Bridge Design in line with current industry codes • Effectively manage own time across a portfolio of projects • Liaise effectively with Bridge Design Engineers • Develop ongoing relationships with Consulting Engineers and Main Contractors • Build relations with Network Rail and identify business opportunities Requirements • HNC Civil Engineering or similar / higher • A background within Rail / Rail Infrastructure • Experience of Bridge Inspection and Maintenance • Previous liaison with Network Rail and knowledge of DMRB design standards • The ability to work within budget and control costs • A good understanding of Health & Safety / Risk Assessments • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral • You must be flexible and work weekends and evenings as and when required Desirable • Design of Rail Bridges - Masonry Arched Bridges, Viaducts, Steel or Composite Decks • Experience of Construction Site Supervision • Experience as a Possession Planner Only CVs in Word (.doc) will be processed.
